First would like to start off by saying I was not paid to write this review, but I tell you this was one if not the best parent books I ever read. It is accompanied with life saving advice and testimonies from other parents. Oh and my favorite part at the end.. it is filled with plenty recipes to have a nice thanksgiving dinner. On top of that this book is an easy read. Don't think twice about buying this book you will enjoy it!
I absolutely enjoyed this book. Recently becoming a single mother of one, it gave me so much motivation and courage to keep pushing forward with my goals all while maintaining the blessed task and image of a steong woman and mother. Although my little can't understand yet the value of trials and tribulations, I pray that she will appreciate and value mines as I continue to raise her to be a strong woman and perhaps one day a mother herself. Excellent book! I encourage any and everyone to purchase.
When I started reading Priceless, I was immediately intrigued by the opening. The "Nitty Gritty", as LaShelle called it. LaShelle gives a brief, but tailored description of the moment she found out she was going to be a mother for the first time. The book was filled with so many emotions and I could see through her words just how much she loves her children. I am sure anyone could benefit from reading this book because everyone has been a child at some point. This book opened my eyes to so much within my own life. Loved it!
This book to me is one of the most effective,strongest and heartfelt words I have ever read. The saying goes "great things comes in small packages", that's true. You have to read it for yourself. I myself have raised children...and this book, I wish it could have been in my life a long time ago. No you don't need a village to raise a child but you need good advice from the village. This book sums it up in very few pages. Please don't judge it by the cover but read what's inside you might find some of the answers you've been looking for..
This book was obviously written with a lot of love and insight. It is wonderful reading, enjoyable, refreshing and packed with sincere sentiment. The book is filled with love letters to this wonderful young mothers children, coining the phrase "hindsight is a wonderful thing", its easy to associate these stories with your own life, especially if you are a mother.
Lashelle has given us a wonderful, loving, "priceless" look at her lifes journey which is a great read to everyone. I would recommend this book to everyone!!!
This is really a great book. I enjoyed reading this with my daughter. This book was great for conversation starters on topics that parents or children can find difficult to talk about. As I was reading, I came upon a conversation that I had previously had with my daughter, I was a bit unsure if I had explained the situation good enough for her to understand. She remembered the conversation as we read on and I was able to say, see we are not the only family that goes through this and it opened up another way for me to explain the situation. I love this book, Thank you so much for sharing!!!
This book is very touching, well written and inspiring. A lot of time and love was place into this collection. The author is very passionate and seems to be very concerned about the youth and the foundation that is laid out for them. I highly recommend priceless . I couldn't put the book down, the stories from the amazing women are incredible and it gives you hope that you can do anything!
